Time For An Easter Egg Hunt?

Lets’s hope it’s dry and sunny for all the Easter Egg Hunts this weekend! For at least part of the weekend, chocolate and Easter seem linked together, but it doesn’t have to be about too much chocolate!  It’s interesting that when young children are asked about their Easter Hunts, it is not necessarily the chocolate eggs that are remembered the most fondly.  It can be the little inexpensive ‘egg’ substitutes that make the biggest impression – the appropriate sized kite to fly on breezy Spring days, the excitement of searching round the garden, or park, looking for bugs to put in a small bug holder, so bugs can be studied closely, before being released.  A butterfly net, or small net for catching tiny fish in park ponds, might provide an entertaining afternoon – especially if coupled with a simple picnic on a sunny day.  Small toys, balls, or balloons, can surprise, when put in brightly coloured plastic pull apart eggs.  Building great family memories can be fun for the entire family.
