After graduation from the University of British Columbia, Canada, Port Coquitlam orthodontist Dr. Terry Bianco practiced General Dentistry for three years. Later, he continued formal studies and completed his specialty degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Centre in 1978.
Since that time, he has enjoyed practicing orthodontic care in the Tri-Cities area, helping both local patients in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody, as well as those from many areas of B.C., including Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Mission, Abbotsford, Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey, Langley, White Rock, Vancouver, Vancouver Island, and Logan Lake.
Dr. B's. goal in his treatment of children and adults is to create a long-term, stable result – not only creating a wonderful smile, but also, very importantly, creating a healthy bite.
He has diligently pursued numerous post-graduate continuing education courses, including the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education (FACE) with a focus on the harmonious relationship between the jaw joint and the bite (Roth-Williams philosophy).
In addition to being an assistant clinical professor at U.B.C., Dr. Bianco writes newspaper articles and prepares advanced clinical presentations on orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics to colleagues in Canada and the United States. He was the Canadian delegate asked to speak at the Roth-Williams International Society of Orthodontists Inaugural Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.
