The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, such as Dr. Bianco, evaluate children by age 7.
While most are not ready for full treatment, many problems can be treated much easier if diagnosed early. It may also be more cost effective.
If no treatment is advised at age 7, your child can be monitored at specific intervals through growth and development.
Why see a specialist? Specialists in this field have two or three extra years of post graduate study, in an accredited university program. In addition, they are required to complete many extra continuing education courses.
